Imperial Forum walking tour
A walk through the imperial forums of Ancient Rome. We will immerse ourselves in the era of the Roman emperors, we will visit the ruins of the forum of Julius Caesar, an architectural project conceived by Julius Caesar. A few years later, Augustus also had a forum built, the surrounding walls of which are in gabina stone, or rather a fireproof stone. The archaeological tour continues with the walk up to the remaining ruins of the “Colonacce di Nerva” in the forum of Nerva, also called “Foro Transitorio”, as it was an obligatory access point for those who wanted to access the Roman Forum. The visit ends with the Trajan’s Forum, the last but most important of the Imperial forums.
